Creative Drama Club - Cardboard Creations (Class A & B) - Fall ‘25
Our youngest students, ages 3.5-6, learned about scenic design for theatre! They worked with cardboard to create different locations, from castles, to interiors of kitchens. Collaborating in small groups, they then shared their designs with each other, guided by Teaching Artists to start learning to look with eyes of a designer - what would an audience see? Where are the entrances and exits for actors? What story does this space tell even before any actors appear on stage? They were very reflective, and able to co-create, imagine and reimagine designs as they received and gave feedback. It was very impressive work .
We look forward to continuing preschool set design in the future!
