Creative Drama Club
Creative drama club - Saturdays 1-2 pM; ages 3.5-6
Welcome!
A special welcome to our youngest students! We love making theatre with them.
Please read all the important details on this page to ensure a smooth and successful class experience.
Dates: Saturdays
September 6, 13, 20, 27 - 1,2,3 Blast Off!
October 4, 11, 18, 25 - Fall on the Farm
Time: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Location: KMT Classrooms , 1216 Duane Street, 2nd floor of the Liberty Theatre.
(This is not the main Liberty front door.)
We unlock the door at approx. 12:50, lock it during class, and then unlock it at 1:55 PM.
If you need to reach us or have entry during class and the door is locked, please call 1-855-KMT-CREW (1-855-568-2739) and choose “1.” It will connect you to our cell phone. Please have patience as it may take us a few minutes to get down to you.
When you arrive, please take your child to the restroom, even if they have used the bathroom recently. It helps us to not have to immediately stop class and lose so much time with taking breaks.
All students must be fully potty trained. If your child can not use a bathroom safely without adult assistance, please have an adult stay in our waiting area for the duration of the camp to support them for when the need arises. KMT Teachers can not assist with bathroom needs (we will supervise hand washing).
We suggest layers of clothes as temperatures vary; also a water bottle with a lid. There’s a water fountain available too.
Sneakers or similar shoes must be worn please. We move around a lot! No barefeet or socks only. Also, boots are often slippery on the wood floors. If your child has muddy shoes please bring clean ones to change into.
Age-appropriate craft materials will be used, including markers, crayons, glue sticks, and paint sticks. Please choose clothing with this in mind. :)
We ask that toys and stuffies please wait for their student elsewhere until after class.
There is a waiting area down the hallway in the KMT area. It has puzzles, games, books, coloring pages and a lego table. We also have wifi available.
If you feel your student may not be able to make it through the class in the beginning, please have an adult stay in the waiting area. We will bring your child out to you and you can then depart and try again the next week. Sometimes it takes more than one try to feel comfy. (See “Family Agreements” below.)

Attendance Policy
KMT works as an ensemble. Like a sports team, every student plays a vital role. We ask that your children please attend the classes they are signed up except in cases of illness, emergency, or necessary appointments (such as medical).
For absences please text/call or email: 1-855-KMT-CREW (1-855-568-2739); hellokmt@libertyastora.org
We strongly discourage early pickups.
Early Pickup Request Form: If you know about an important upcoming appointment or conflict, please fill out the pickup form as soon as possible: https://forms.gle/vc3A2epjHmwrK1Bk8
Please use the form and do not have students, or their adults, tell the teachers and staff as notification that early pickup will be needed.

Checking In / Out
All students must be checked in using the free Amilia app. We check students out manually to ensure we know which adult/s each student departs with.
You log into the Amilia app using the same email and password you used to register your student for camp.
(Please do not create a new account as it will not be properly linked to your family.)
Before the first day of camp, if you could please have the Amilia app on your phone and logged in, we can then help show you how to scan your student in.

Health and Safety
No nuts or nut-containing snacks (including granola bars and peanut butter).
No strong scents please (perfume etc.).
We encourage bringing a water bottle with a top. There is a water fountain available.
Our space has temperature fluctuations. Layers are recommended.
No personal toys or stuffed animals should be brought please.
No animals are allowed in the space except trained service animals.
Family Agreements
To create a supportive and successful experience for all students, we ask that families follow our Family Agreements:
Students must be in the room by 2:05 PM. If your child is unable to enter the space that day, please take them with you and give it a try again the next day.
Children are expected to participate in an age-appropriate way. If a student needs to leave the classroom due to not being able to participate safely or appropriately, they will not be able to return that day. This helps our staff maintain focus and safety for the group.
If you think it likely that your child might need to leave early, an adult should please remain onsite. We have a waiting area with wifi, games and coloring (for adults too!). If you’ve already left, we will text/call for pickup if needed.
Students who are not participating in camp may not remain elsewhere in the KMT space for an extended period of time, including with their guardian /adult.
